Android APK installation on romps2
Our Android app is distributed as an APK file, which you can download directly to your device. To install, your device must allow installations from unknown sources. On Android 7 and later, you enable this permission in Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps, then select your browser or file manager. Once enabled, download the romps2 APK and tap the install prompt. The app will request permissions for internet, storage, camera (for identity verification), and notifications. Grant these to proceed. After installation completes, the app appears in your launcher and home screen. Your account, balance, and deposit methods sync automatically.
Android minimum requirements
We support Android 7.0 and later. Older devices may experience compatibility issues. If you encounter problems, update your device's Android version via Settings → System → System update.
iOS access via Safari browser on romps2
Apple does not permit third-party app stores on iOS, so we deliver our full platform via Safari. Open Safari, visit romps2.com, and log in. Once loaded, tap the Share button (square with arrow), scroll down, and select "Add to Home Screen". Name the shortcut "romps2" and confirm. The app now appears on your home screen as a web app. Tap it to launch; it opens in full-screen mode without the Safari address bar, mimicking a native app. Your session persists across launches. Push notifications are available if you enable them in app settings. iOS 12 and later are supported.
App versus browser: when to use each on romps2
Our native Android app loads slightly faster because it caches assets locally and handles offline scenarios better. Push notifications arrive instantly on the app; in the browser, you must keep the tab active. The Android app also integrates with system-level payment methods and fingerprint unlock. However, the web browser version updates automatically—you never wait for an app store review—and works on any device with a modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). For most users, we recommend the Android app if you are on Android 7+ and check the platform daily. Use the browser if you prefer automatic updates, want to avoid app installation, or are on iOS. Both sync your account in real time.
Device compatibility and system requirements for romps2
We at romps2 support Android 7.0 or later (released 2016) and iOS 12 or later (released 2018). Phones from the past seven years will run our app. Desktop and tablet access is available via web browser on Windows, macOS, and Linux. If your device is older than these baselines, you may encounter slow performance or missing features. To check your Android version, go to Settings → About phone → Android version. For iOS, open Settings → General → About → Software Version. If you are unsure whether your device qualifies, contact our support team.
Troubleshooting common installation issues on romps2
If the Android APK does not install, check that unknown-source installation is enabled and that you have enough storage (at least 100 MB free). If you see a security warning, it may be a certificate-trust issue; this is normal for direct APK downloads and does not indicate malware. Proceed with installation. If the app crashes on launch, clear its cache (Settings → Apps → romps2 → Storage → Clear cache) or reinstall. For iOS, if the web app does not launch in full-screen mode, check that you are using Safari, not Chrome or another browser, and that you have tapped "Add to Home Screen" correctly. If notifications do not arrive, open romps2 settings, scroll to Notifications, and ensure they are enabled.
Data permissions and account security on romps2
We at romps2 request camera permission during identity verification (required to confirm your government ID matches your registered photo). Internet permission allows deposit and withdrawal transactions. Storage permission lets us cache game assets locally to reduce data use. Notifications permission enables real-time alerts for deposit confirmations and market movements. None of these permissions are used to track you beyond the app. Your account is protected by your password and optional email two-factor authentication. We use HTTPS encryption for all transactions. Your balance and deposit methods (local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment) are never shared with third parties without your consent. If you lose access to your account, contact our support team with your username and registered email for account recovery.
